Humphrey Update
Welcome to Humphrey's first update. If we had to use one word to describe the start to this year it would be 'WET'. For Humphrey that means the excitement of getting ready for his walk with lots of barking and turning circles then finally getting to the front door seeing it's raining and looking me as if to say ' ...and you expect me to go out in that!'
To be fair with a little convincing (and maybe the offer of a treat!) Humphrey does venture outside navigating around puddles wherever possible and simply refusing to go through them and needing to be carried over if they are too big.
He also tries to avoid any mud of even wet grass as he does like to keep his precious feet clean :)
Sweet revenge for making him go out in the rain is always his, as when we arrive home and I try to dry him he runs all over the house and rubs himself on the furniture!
The early dark evenings of winter (along with the wet!) also mean Humphrey doesn't like to play in the garden so much, so that means lots of extra play indoors with his toys. A particular favourite of his at the moment was one of his Christmas presents, his turkey! Humphrey enjoys playing with toys and it's easy to spot his favourites as he loves to suck them as he falls asleep so they always end up a soggy, sticky mess, but he still loves them nonetheless :)
So until the Spring when I am sure he will be back to his favourite pastime of running around the garden chasing birds and aeroplanes that fly over, we will be having lots more time playing with toys and hopefully avoiding the rain on our walks!
Bye for now.
